Bio

Ruth Luevand brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Mt. SAC Foundation. Ruth is a full-time AP Chemistry teacher who has served in several capacities within her local teaching association, the California Teaching Association, and within the National Teaching Association. Ruth’s commitment to social, racial, and economic justice are exemplified in her work and dedication within these organizations and the policies and she has helped ushered over the last five years.

As a teacher ad an advocate for student success, Ruth believes that obtaining funding for our most needy college students and the programs that help our students succeed is paramount to ending the economic inequality gap that exists within our communities.
