What is the Torchbearer Society?
The Torchbearer Society is a dedicated group joined together by a common objective—supporting student athletes at Mt. San Antonio College for years to come.
As a collection of individuals, families, businesses and community members with ties to Mt. SAC, Torchbearers believe in the quality experience, coaching and counseling our student athletes receive at Mt. SAC. They are joining together to ensure that future Mt. SAC athletes benefit from the same experience.
Why join the Torchbearer Society?
Mt. SAC Athletics consistently performs as a top-tier community college program both at the state and national level. Our teams have won a total of 76 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships including an astonishing 49 titles since 2000! Over the years our program has produced athletes, coaches, and managers at the highest levels of sport, including the Olympic and professional levels.
The vision and direction for these programs has been shaped by the inspirational athletes and coaches who have won numerous awards and received international recognition since the College opened back in 1946 with just five sports. Mt. SAC now boasts 23 sports and holds the title of California’s Premier Community College Athletics Program for the past ten years.
It is clear that Mt. SAC Athletics has a legendary reputation for excellence. In order to maintain and preserve that legacy, we have launched the Torchbearer Society.
